Popbloom ("the game") is a puzzle game by Solmatter. This policy explains what information the game and the services it uses collect, why, and the choices you have.

What we do not collect

The game has no accounts you sign up for (the rankings, when they are on, use an anonymous one the game creates itself) and never asks for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, location or any other personal details.

If you agree to a daily reminder, the game schedules it on your phone itself; nothing about it is sent anywhere. You can turn it off in your phone's notification settings.

What the game and its services collect

ServiceWhatWhy
Google Firebase AnalyticsApp interactions (for example rooms started and cleared, screens opened, settings changed), an app instance ID, device model, OS version, language, country derived from the IP addressTo understand which parts of the game are too hard or confusing and to improve them
Google Firebase CrashlyticsCrash reports: stack traces, device model, OS version, app version, an installation ID, and where in the game it happened (chapter, room, screen, language, the last few game events)To find and fix crashes
Google Firebase Remote ConfigAn installation ID, app version, languageTo adjust game settings (for example difficulty helpers) without an update
Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads) and Google User Messaging PlatformAdvertising ID, IP address, device information, ad interactions, your consent choicesTo show ads, measure them, prevent fraud, and ask for and record consent where the law requires it
Google Play Billing or Apple App Store (StoreKit), through Unity In-App PurchasingPurchase records and order IDs; the respective store handles payment details, which the game never seesTo deliver what you bought and restore it on a new device
Weekly ranking (Google Firebase Authentication, Cloud Functions, Firestore) — only once the ranking is switched on and you play the endless gardenAn anonymous account ID created for the ranking, the record of your presses in that week's best endless run, its score, and the flower you play withTo check the score is real by replaying it and to show this week's ranking. The ranking shows a four-digit number and a flower, never a name
Daily ranking (the same services) — only once the ranking is switched on and you clear the daily challengeThe same anonymous account ID, the record of your presses in that day's best clear, its score and time, and the flower you play withTo check the clear is real by replaying it and to show today's ranking, the same way

The game also keeps its progress and a local event log on your device. The local log is not sent anywhere.

Advertising and your choices

Where the law requires it (for example in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland), the game asks for your consent through Google's consent form before personalised ads are shown, and you can change your choice at any time in the game under Settings → Privacy options. You can reset or delete your Advertising ID, or opt out of personalised ads, in your Android device's Google settings. On iOS, the game requests App Tracking Transparency permission before accessing the advertising identifier for tracking. You can decline and still play, and change your choice in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Buying "Remove ads" turns off the automatic ads; optional reward ads stay available.

Children

The game is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has used the game and information was collected, contact us and we will help.

Keeping and deleting information

We use Google's hosted services described above, including Firebase for ranking data when rankings are enabled. Service data is retained according to the applicable service and project settings. Uninstalling the game removes its local data from your device, but does not by itself delete data held by these services.

Android may back up your saved progress and restore it after reinstalling or moving to another device, depending on your device's backup settings. The game's backup rules include saved progress and exclude its local event logs. You can manage backups in your device's settings.

To ask about or request deletion of information associated with your game use, contact us at the address above. We may need information to identify the relevant records. Some records may need to be retained for legal obligations, purchase records or fraud prevention; we will explain any applicable limits when responding to your request.
